When a fire occurs, if the fire hydrant lacks water or water pressure, the consequences will be unimaginable. In 2014, the ancient city of Dukezong in Yunnan suffered heavy losses due to a large fire, affecting an area of 40000 square meters. 242 houses and cultural relics were destroyed, resulting in economic losses of nearly 100 million yuan. The main reason for the spread and expansion of the fire was that the fire prevention measures in the ancient city did not play their due role, and multiple fire hydrants were without water, missing the best time to extinguish the fire. In the end, a small fire caused a major disaster, which is very heartbreaking.
The fire protection solution adopts advanced Internet of Things technology to monitor water pressure and other data in real time. Once there is insufficient pressure or water shortage, an alarm is immediately triggered, which can promptly detect the damage of fire hydrants, insufficient pipeline pressure or no water, and facilitate timely maintenance to ensure water availability in case of fire. The system can also accurately locate fire hydrants, quickly locate nearby fire hydrants in case of a fire, improve firefighting efficiency, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
Scheme composition
The fire protection solution includes four parts: intelligent fire hydrant cap, fire water tank level sensor, fire hydrant water pressure sensor, and fire protection management platform
Intelligent fire hydrant cap: If the fire hydrant is damaged or someone illegally takes water, the alarm information will be notified to the user through the fire protection platform.
Fire water tank water level sensor: Real time collection of fire water tank water level. If the water level is too low, the information will be pushed to the relevant responsible personnel for timely replenishment of water.
Fire hydrant water pressure sensor: Real time collection of fire hydrant water pressure. If the water pressure range exceeds the set value, relevant responsible personnel should be notified in a timely manner for handling.
Fire protection management platform: It is the brain of the entire system, providing users with an intuitive and convenient platform for monitoring fire hydrant water pressure. Supports multiple devices such as PCs and mobile phones, and can be used by multiple users simultaneously.

●Fire water tankFull process monitoring of fire hydrant water pressure: It is usually in a dormant state. Once the water pressure is abnormal, an alarm message is immediately sent, and equipment related data is reported at regular intervals every day.
● Hierarchical user management of fire hydrants and fire water tanks: Different fire hydrants and fire water tanks are assigned to different users. When abnormalities occur, relevant personnel are notified first for maintenance. If the time limit is exceeded, the management personnel are reported.

The fire protection management platform provides users with an intuitive and convenient monitoring platform for fire hydrant water pressure and fire water tank water level. Supporting various devices such as PCs and mobile phones, different users can be configured with different fire hydrants and fire water tanks for management. Remote real-time monitoring of fire hydrants and fire water tanks can be carried out, replacing manual inspections, saving labor costs, and avoiding the drawbacks of low efficiency in manual inspections and delayed detection and handling of problems.
Main functions of the platform:
●Real time monitoring: The platform and mobile phone can view the water pressure data of the fire hydrant and the water level data of the fire water tank, and monitor the water pressure status of the fire hydrant and the water level status of the fire water tank in real time.
